GOLF IN SHROPSHIRE

The golf courses in Shropshire consist of some excellent public golf courses as well as private members golf clubs such as Wrekin, and Market Drayton. The superb and newly opened championship parkland golf course at Astbury Hall looks set to be extremely popular, and there are many other highly recommended golf courses in Shropshire worthy of a mention. For example, Cleobury Mortimer, The Shropshire, and Macdonald Hill Valley are all good parkland golf courses in Shropshire, the latter being an excellent golfing holiday destination due to the hotel on site. The picturesque county is bordered by Herefordshire, Wales, Worcestershire, Cheshire, and Staffordshire, and the golf courses at Arscott, and Llanymynech provide superb panoramas across the hills. There are a number of good golf courses near Shrewsbury too, such as Hawkstone Park, and Meole Brace.
