GOLF IN SUFFOLK

There are some superb championship links golf courses in Suffolk such as Thorpeness, and Aldeburgh, but there are some equally impressive parkland golf courses in Suffolk that are perhaps less well known. Fynn Valley and Haverhill are two such examples. There are a number of golf clubs near Ipswich, the major city in Suffolk, such as Brett Vale, Bramford, and Hintlesham. It surprises people to know that there are also some good heathland golf courses in Suffolk as well, for example Woodbridge, and Waldringfield. The county is bordered by Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex, and the coastal location attracts tourists whilst acting as an impressive golfing holiday destination. There are approximately 30 golf clubs in Suffolk, with a mixture of both public golf courses and private members clubs spread across the county.
