GOLF IN WEST SUSSEX

The golf courses in West Sussex include many hidden gems for the visiting golfer. There are numerous golfing venues that rival the quality provided by the neighbouring golf clubs in East Sussex, Hampshire, and Surrey. The superb heathland course at West Sussex, as well as fantastic parkland golf courses, such as Chartham Park, and Mannings Heath are fine examples of the some of these highly acclaimed golf clubs in West Sussex. There are a number of golf courses near Chichester, the county town of West Sussex, whilst the inspiring South Downs National Park is a popular destination, with the highest point being at Black Down. A diverse county, West Sussex is well known for its stately homes and castles such as Arundel Castle and Bramber Castle, and it is no surpise that there are a number of quality downland courses in West Sussex, such as Goodwood. Other towns of notable size are Burgess Hill, East Grinstead, and Haywards Heath.
