Host to The Open on several occasions, Carnoustie Golf Links has a reputation as one of the finest golf courses in the world. The Championship course is now in the finest condition it has ever been. It was in The Barry Burn in 1999 that Frenchman Jean Van de Velde lost the chance of being Open Champion and a place in history.
The Burnside Course oozes character and from the back tees is a splendid test of golf. Many of the short holes would grace any links course anywhere in the world.
The Buddon Links is a fine complement to the other courses and it is worth playing as an introduction to links golf prior to tackling the more demanding Championship course.
