Newmachar Golf Club is home to two 18 hole golf courses as well as a spacious driving range and a short-game practice area. Located on the outskirts of Aberdeen, only 5 miles from the international airport and the village of Dyce.
The Hawkshill course is regarded as one of the toughest tests of golf in the area. It has hosted major championships, including the Scottish professional Championship and the Scottish Seniors Open.
The Swailend course is slightly less demanding but is an excellent test for golfers of all standards.

Hawkshill Course
The par 72, SSS 74, Hawkshill course was designed by Dave Thomas and opened for play in 1990. It measures 6,700 yards from the medal tees, and is set amongst mature silver birch and Scots pine trees. Water hazards, combined with strategic bunkering of fairways and greens, make this one of the toughest tests of golf in the area. The course has been endorsed by Peter Alliss, and it has already hosted major championships, including the Scottish professional Championship and the Scottish Seniors Open.

Swailand Course
The Swailend course, par 72, SSS 71, was designed by Dave Thomas and opened for play in 1997. Although more forgiving than the slightly less demanding Hawkshill course, the subtle contours and well positioned bunkers present every standard of golfer with a challenge that should not be underestimated.
