Dukes Course

The Duke's Course was created in one of the finest inland golfing settings in Europe. It was the location for the British Masters for 20 years and from 2008 is home to the Travis Perkins Senior Masters and other top men's and women's professional events. Designed by Charles Lawrie in 1974, when the late 14th Duke of Bedford decided to bring golf to the Woburn Estate, the 6,983 yard Duke's course sports fairways lined with pine, silver birch and chestnut trees. Heather, bracken and gorse add to the charm of the course as well as providing some of the natural hazards of each hole. The famous third hole, framed by rhododendron bushes, has recently been voted into the 'World's Top 500 Holes' by Golf Magazine.

RANKING #91 "A truly wonderful setting for golf"; "Whilst not as tight as the Duchess, the ever-present trees lining all the fairways mean that golfers of all levels need to keep their concentration from start to finish"; "I am not sure that I have ever played an inland course in better condition at this time of the year"

Duchess Course

The Duchess’ Course is Woburn’s hidden gem and a fine example of a course built for the thinking golfer. The natural characteristics of each hole provide a testing challenge and demand a number of different strategies. Slightly shorter in length than the Duke's Course, at 6,651 yards, the Duchess' Course is cut from more formal pine forest. Its rolling fairways and subtle contours are deceptively landscaped to test the golfer's full repertoire of shots.

Marquess Course

Opened in 2000, the Marquess’ Course is often referred to as the ‘jewel in the crown’. The course has been designed to provide an enjoyable and satisfying challenge for all golfers, with each hole having its own unique character. Set in 200 acres of mixed woodland, the Marquess' course overlaps the county boundary dividing Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire and presents a variety of aspects, with its rolling and undulating terrain. The beautiful woodland is predominantly pine, spruce, sweet chestnut and oak, with a number of rare specimens such as Corsican pine, yew, rowan and beech.
