Ipswich Golf Club is a traditional members' club, where golf has been played since 1926, although the club itself was founded 31 years earlier, in 1895.
Originally located at nearby Rushmere Heath, the club moved to its present site, and the James Braid designed golf course of Purdis Heath.
Years later, the nine hole Bixley Course was added, and it enjoys the same splendid heathland terrain as the main course.
With easy access from the A14, Ipswich Golf Club is a heathland haven for purists and enthusiasts alike.
