Sonning Golf Club is 100 years old and has an impressive pedigree. One of the ‘Great Triumvirate’ and a 5 time Open champion, JH Taylor, designed the original layout with later input from Harry Colt.
Although originally a heathland course, there is now an abundance of mature trees and shrubs that line its fairways.
Martin Hawtree has redesigned Sonning’s original layout and has produced an impressive new 18th hole that finishes in front of the clubhouse.
With an excellent practice and short game area, Sonning can provide some of the best facilities in the South of England.
