Founded in 1890, The Leicestershire Golf Club is a beautiful parkland course located south of the city, and neighbouring open countryside.
Heavily wooded and boasting superb greens, the 6200 yard par 68 course provides a challenging and enjoyable test for all standards of golfer.
The course was extended to 18 holes in 1899, whilst James Braid made further improvements in 1910 that included a number of new bunkers. In 1936 the course was extended by Major Charles Mackenzie, and subsequently altered by C K Cotton.
The unique circular clubhouse enjoys superb views over the course and offers excellent facilities members and visitors alike.
