Stoke Park’s Reid Hailes As One Of World’s Top Junior Coaches

Stoke Park golf professional Tom Reid has been hailed as one of the top 50 junior coaches in the world … for the second consecutive year.  What's more, Reid, 32, was the only Great Britain-based coach to make the final cut in the list presented by Coaches Institute, a division of the US Kids Golf Foundation, an organisation designed to promote junior golf.  The announcement - and presentation of his personalised plaque - took place at the PGA Show in Orlando, Florida, the largest annual golf trade show in the world. Stoke Park’s Longest Day Raises More Than £14,000 For National Cancer Charity

Stoke Park’s director of golf, Stuart Collier, headed up a team of eight golfers to raise more than £14,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support when they played 72 holes of golf in one day. The club’s ‘Longest Day’ challenge saw the energetic eight – Collier, fellow Stoke Park pro James Jewell, and members Paul Simmonds, Steve Whelan, Hasan Abdat, Ben Keeping, Matt Pearcey and Paul Trendell – smash their target of £6,700 before they’d even completed two of their four rounds of golf.
