La Manga Club Gives Golfers Sunny Spring Outlook
Golfers across the UK continue to be battered by the wind and rain this winter but, with 300-plus days’ sunshine a year, Spain’s La Manga Club has no such problems, making the resort the ideal venue for a golf break in 2016.
The award-winning venue in Murcia, south-east Spain, is already enjoying temperatures in the mid-twenties this year and sustained recent investment in its extensive golf and sports facilities has ensured that it remains among Europe’s top golfing destinations.
A favourite with golfers worldwide, La Manga Club – voted ‘Spain’s Best Golf Hotel’ at the 2015 World Golf Awards – boasts three 18-hole courses, a nine-hole academy course and outstanding practice facilities including the Leadbetter Golf Academy – the only one in mainland Spain.
Opened in 1972, La Manga Club remains the benchmark for European sports and leisure destinations and further investment is planned over the coming months, including the refurbishment of selected apartments in the resort’s Las Lomas Village and Bar 37 in the golf clubhouse; the redesign of a new golf shop and installing new signage on its golf courses.
Legends of the game including Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Spain’s favourite golfing son Severiano Ballesteros all feature prominently in the resort’s long and illustrious history, and players have the chance to experience the resort for themselves this spring and summer with an array of attractive golf packages.
Available to book until February 28 for breaks taken before October 30, 2016, the packages include a three-night bed and breakfast stay in the five-star Hotel Principe Felipe from €357 per person (approx £270) including two rounds of golf and one hour with unlimited range balls.
All prices are based on two people sharing a room and also feature complimentary access to the fitness centre, indoor pool and steam rooms at Spa La Manga Club.
