Changing The Landscape At The Dorset Golf Resort

While the vast majority of  golfers have been hibernating over the winter period, the on-course team at The Dorset Golf Resort have been busy making key alterations for the upcoming 2015 golfing season.

It’s not just tweaks to the holes that have been made, with many new paths and walkways around the course being created in order to accommodate the typical wear experienced over a year.  On the course itself, several trees have been planted in order to subtly change the shape of a couple of holes, and many areas have been opened up in order to improve the views of the surrounding scenery. The combination of these two improvements really has changed the face of the landscape at The Dorset Golf Resort for the better.

Another item on top of their agenda ahead of the summer season was additional drainage work. This was also recently completed, and is set to ensure that The Dorset Golf Resort will continue to stay open all year round – as it has done for the past two years. Amazingly, the club hasn’t closed for a single day in this period owing to bad weather.

Taking into account The Dorset Golf Resort’s investment of £125,000 last year, where a new buggy park & fleet were brought in, the recent work has taken the resort to an enviable new level. The course is now aesthetically very pleasing, and has never played better at for the time of year.
