Crystal Palace Football Club Host Golf Day At Sweetwoods Park

On Tuesday 28th April 2015, Sweetwoods Park Golf Club hosted the annual Golf Day for Crystal Palace Football Club, currently 12th in the premier league table. This was the 4th year that Sweetwoods has hosted the prestigious event.

Alan Pardew, the Crystal Palace Manager and the assistant manager Keith Millen, played in the event along with many players including Steve Coppell, Dwight Gayle, Julian Speroni, John Salako, Shaun Derry, Tony Cottee, Jim Cannon and Ian Evans. Alan Pardew is guiding Palace into their 3rd successive year in the premiership.

The Crystal Palace players enjoyed the course exclusively for the day and took on a 9 holes Texas Scramble in the morning, followed by 18 holes Stableford in the afternoon, prizes were issued for best individual, longest drive and nearest the pin, alongside beating the Pro on the 5th.

Andrew Salter, Sweetwoods Park General Manager said, “I am delighted that Sweetwoods Park were able to host the Crystal Palace Football Club Academy Golf Day, which was attended by eight of the first team players, and Allan Pardew. The day was enjoyed by all and raised valuable funds for the academy. Many of the guests were very impressed with the course and overall hospitality at Sweetwoods and vow to return on an individual basis with family and friends”.
