New State Of The Art Swing Studio At Sweetwoods

Sweetwoods Park Golf Club, Kent, has just opened a brand new Swing Studio that uses the latest Foresight Sports launch monitor equipment.

The GC2 launch monitor offers the most accurate solution for training, simulation, club fitting and game play, whilst the frame-less net area has been custom made to fit the shape of the studio, thus providing customers with a sense of open space.

Meanwhile, sitting alongside the golfer, video cameras capture 10,000 frames per second, and show exactly what happens to the ball and club on impact. It all adds up to facilitate access to data that coaches never could before, including ball speed, club head speed, smash factor, launch angles, back spin, side spin, peak height, angle of decent, carry distance, roll distance and dispersion.

With the advantage of the fitting software, Sweetwoods Park team of coaches can see exactly how the ball is reacting on the simulation screen. Plus with the head measuring technology attachment, they are able to isolate the club action only, which gives angle of attack, swing path, club face alignment (to both the swing path and the target line), strike on the clubface (in mm’s), lie, loft (dynamic), face-axis and closing rate.

All in all, the new equipment and swing studio means that club fitting has never been better at Sweetwoods Park GC. But that’s not all. The new Swing Studio also enables golfers to play a variety of championship courses, courtesy of the built in 15 course simulator. Made up of some of the World’s finest venues like Medinah and the Congressional Club, as well as many others in the UK, including The Belfry, Carnoustie and Celtic Manor, the course simulator can be hired for just £30 per hour (maximum of 4 people).

Outside from the new Swing Studio at Sweetwoods Park, the outdoor practice range has also enjoyed an upgrade, with new mats, balls, flags, baskets and target nets. All in all, the game improvement facilities have quickly become some of the very best in the area.

Club fitting in the new Swing Studio costs just £40, which will be refunded from the price of hardware if purchased on the same day.
