Another Year Fully Open At The Dorset Golf Resort

Once again, The Dorset Golf Resort enjoyed another year of uninterrupted golf across all 27 holes of its Championship Course in 2015, a record it is rightly proud of.

Even with the extended periods of wet weather, the course has remained fully open with all main grass tee’s and greens in use, and no temporary playing areas in sight. The course is looking in terrific condition for the time of year, which given that there hasn’t even been a trolley ban, is all the more impressive. The achievement is all the more newsworthy, as many of the surrounding courses have been regularly shut throughout the winter owing to water logged fairways and greens. So what’s the secret?

“There is no secret.” explains Graham Packer General Manager of The Dorset Golf Resort, “We undertake new work every winter to improve the course in general. We’re not fighting to maintain standards, we’re increasing them. Each year the course looks better and that carries through into the winter. Having been rated as one of the top 150 courses in England last year, I’d say we’re achieving that!”

With the Resort recently opening it’s 14th 5 Star Luxury House (complete with private garden and barbeque area), you really can expect a superb golf break in Summer or indeed the Winter. For further details of both, please click here.
