Stoke Park Tees Up A Chance For Youngsters To Net Great Coaching

Under-14s have a fabulous opportunity to learn a new sport with the launch of golf and tennis training camps at the multi-award-winning five-star Stoke Park Country Club, Spa & Hotel, in Buckinghamshire.

The combined camps offer a great learning environment for youngsters aged between four and 14 where they can enjoy both sports in one day. Starting at 10am and running until 3pm – with a lunch provided – each camp is limited to 20 children and are booked quickly.

Coaching is provided by fully qualified, CRB-checked PGA golf professionals and LTA tennis professionals and the camps are available throughout the school holidays, are open to members and non-members, and cost from just £55 per day.

Co-ordinator James Hoar explained: “This is a great opportunity for youngsters to engage in two sports on the same day. At that age, they may not yet know what their preference is, but with these camps they don’t need to choose – just to enjoy themselves and get better.

“And, for golf alone, our ‘junior stars’ golf programme, runs most weekends, again for children aged between four and 14. This provides a foundation for our highly successful Youth Scholarship Programme, which has produced a world ‘teen’ champion and two US Kids European champions in the last three years.”

Founded in 1908 as the UK’s first country club, Stoke Park – one of just two five AA Red Star golf clubs in England – enjoys the unique combination of the traditions of an exclusive members’ club and the best of today’s sporting, leisure, entertaining and hotel facilities.

Those facilities include a historic 27-hole golf course, designed by the legendary golf architect Harry Colt; a deluxe, state-of-the-art swing studio with cutting-edge Trackman technology; 13 tennis courts, comprising indoor, grass and floodlit artificial clay – as used by many of the world’s top players, such as Novak Djokovic, during the annual Boodles tournament; an award-winning spa; indoor pool; state-of-the-art gymnasium; fitness, hot yoga and spinning studios; three restaurants, including the three AA Rosette-winning Humphry’s; and 49 bedrooms and suites.

Set within 300 acres of beautiful private parkland estate in Stoke Poges, Bucks, Stoke Park is only 35 minutes from London and seven miles from Heathrow Airport.
