Foxhills Collection First In UK To Offer E-Z-GO TKV GPS GOLF CARS

The Foxhills Collection has taken delivery of 50 new E-Z-GO RXV golf cars featuring platinum silver paint, new super deluxe seats, and for the first time in the UK, the TKV GPS. Local Jacobsen dealer, Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd, made the delivery, with 30 of the fleet at Foxhills Club & Resort in Ottershaw, Surrey and 20 at Farleigh Golf Club in Warlingham, Surrey.

Featuring genuine hand-stitched super deluxe seats, the E-Z-GO RXV golf cars are also fitted with TKV GPS. The system is permanently mounted in the car and offers different levels of amenities for golfers, such as text yardages, enhanced graphics, scoring, messaging and food and beverage ordering. It also facilitates direct communication with golfers on the course and can be used for alerting or advertising additional services. Foxhills and Farleigh are the first clubs in the UK to adopt the advanced TKV GPS.

Marc Hayton, Managing Director at The Foxhills Collection said,

“The sight of 50 new golf cars arriving at Foxhills was a great way to start my day! The technology is really impressive, and the look and driving experience is second to none. Our members and guests will not only enjoy the deluxe seating and wider bag storage trays, but can be aided through the intuitive on-screen course guide. The only thing it can’t do for you is improve your swing!”

Chris Reeve, Director of Golf at Foxhills Club & Resort, commented on the benefits of the on-board GPS,

“With 400-acres at our disposal, the TKV GPS is a fabulous way of allowing us to control where the cars can go which helps us protect the course and should prolong the use of cars into the off-season. There’s a great buzz around the club from members and visitors who have been the first to use the cars, and they love the simplicity of the on-screen course guides and scorecards.”

Russell Stebbings, General Manager at Farleigh Golf Club added,

“We want to make golf fun at Farleigh, and the added features of the TKV GPS provide a luxurious and high-tech experience for our golfers. The range of features is extensive and the team is already confident in the easy-to-use back-end system, so we’ll shortly be opening up even more functionalities. It’s a fabulous and hugely advantageous use of technology!”

Andy Turbin, General Sales Manager at Ernest Does, commented,

“This is a substantial deal for Ernest Does, and we are delighted that the courses at both Foxhills and Farleigh will be the first to offer the TKV GPS in the UK. It really is a fantastic bit of technology which will serve to enhance the golfer’s experience out on the course. It is an exciting prospect for The Foxhills Collection and Ernest Does, and we look forward to working closely with them moving forwards.”

Foxhills features two Championship golf courses, one par-3 course (the first of its kind in Britain), 70 bedrooms, three restaurants, 11 tennis courts, four squash courts, four swimming pools, and an award-winning health spa. The new golf cars will be used on the two Championship golf courses, providing guests with a more comfortable and luxurious golfing experience. The Club is home to the Senior PGA Professional Championships until 2020.

Farleigh boasts three 9-hole courses, spread across the hilly, yet picturesque Surrey Downs. The Club provides a fresh approach to golf, working locally to put a club in every hand through extensive junior programme, adult introductory sessions and lively member events.
