Foxhills Fighting Fit As Surrey Resort Recognised At Annual National Fitness Awards

For the second consecutive year, Foxhills Club & Resort in Ottershaw has beaten stiff competition from around the UK to claim ‘Best Hotel Facility of the Year’ at the prestigious annual National Fitness Awards.

The ceremony at The Athena in Leicester on Friday 2 December recognised excellence, innovation and achievement in gyms and health clubs across the UK and was hosted by boxing world champion Ricky Hatton and award-winning personal trainer and star of TV’s The Apprentice, Katie Bulmer-Cooke.

Accepting the award, Jason Adams, General Manager of Foxhills said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this recognition.  We’ve worked hard this year to build on the success of our award last year with an investment of £600,000 to refit our gym, install new Technogym equipment and upgrade our clay tennis courts. But Foxhills is about much more than the facilities: we are privileged to have such dedicated fitness and wellness experts as part of our resort family. This honour is a testament to their hard work in ensuring each of our members and visitors get the most out of their visit and leave feeling better than when they arrived.”

The National Fitness Awards is the biggest free-to-enter awards in the industry and are organised by leading fitness industry magazine Workout, with support from headline sponsor ServiceSport. Foxhills was also shortlisted at this year’s awards for the Health Club of the Year category, won by theclub at Cadbury House (Congresbury).
